VP Capital invests in façade solar pioneer Solarix

July 1, 2025 - We’re pleased to announce our investment in Solarix, a Dutch innovator transforming building façades into clean energy generators. Solarix designs, produces and supplies aesthetic solar panels for façades, using a patented colour technology and sustainable mounting system.

This investment aligns closely with our net-zero solution. By producing energy during off-peak hours – typically when rooftop solar is less effective – façade solar supports decentralised energy production, helps address grid congestion and maximises avoided emissions.

Strategic and impact rationale

Solarix’s technology replaces conventional façade materials, combining function and form.
The company is market leader in the Netherlands and ready to scale across Europe.
Its panels are included in the National Environmental Database (cat. 1) and improve BREEAM, GRESB and MPG scores.
A business case that supports energy neutrality and sustainability in the built environment.

Looking ahead

The new investment round enables Solarix to expand internationally, increase production capacity, and unlock public funding from the Dutch National Growth Fund. VP Capital will support Solarix in this next phase – from governance and funding to strategic impact development.
